Organizational Development

Sheikh/Impact's strengths-based organizational development services are designed to meet nonprofits where they are — and support them in building the competencies they need to achieve lasting impact. From strategy to implementation to evaluation, we help clients succeed.

Our team knows we can offer the most valuable insights to our clients by developing strong and meaningful relationships with them. In addition to strategic planning and counsel, we are adept at rolling up our sleeves to help clients tackle detail-oriented projects — even as planning takes place.

Beyond our depth of knowledge and experience, each of our team members is endlessly curious and dedicated to finding solutions. Our services evolve over time, keeping up with each client's emerging needs.

Offerings

  • Our approach to strategic planning is highly stakeholder-led. We believe that the individuals most proximate to the work are the experts in their organization. We effectively leverage our clients’ expertise to help organizations evaluate their strengths and challenges and develop robust, multifaceted strategic plans — focused on achieving measurable, mission-driven results.

  • Collaborating closely with internal staff and utilizing trademarked tools, including our Budget-driven Program Design™, we help clients develop best-practice programs and meaningful evaluation methodologies.

  • Through our anything-it-takes approach — along with our significant experience providing bridge support to nonprofits — we help minimize the disruptive impact of transitions.

  • By identifying board and staff training needs and developing customized, strengths-based educational and coaching programs, we help clients build competencies for long-term success.

  • Organizations must continually adapt and develop to ensure key decision-makers, managers and leaders are making truly inclusive decisions in all aspects of people and program management. By utilizing an intercultural competence lens we lead internal staff and board training — supporting clients’ professional and organizational development.

To bolster our training offerings and help you and your team dig deeper, we are qualified to administer the Intercultural Development Inventory Assessment (IDI). Taking the IDI Assessment is a statistically reliable, cross-culturally valid measure of intercultural competence. Administering the assessment better prepares organizations for cross-cultural interactions, and supports employees by empowering them to be part of cultivating inclusive professional environments. We have the tools and expertise to help you assess your organization’s DEI capacities — and build a more culturally competent environment.

Amber and her team were valuable resources in helping Represent Justice build a culture of philanthropy to support our next phase as an organization. Amber quickly got up to speed on how we deliver and measure impact — and she helped us translate our theory of changing the justice system through storytelling for a variety of funders and supporters. From strategic planning to impact reporting, I'm grateful for the team's efforts in assisting Represent Justice on our path to sustainability.
